This another story that I gotta bring you up to speed before the story will make perfect sense. In was early on in the company. Chris and CeCe had yet to meet me. It was not long after the Super Saturday event that they attended (See Poker Faces) I had just enrolled a couple into the business that were leaders in another weight loss company. We went to Church together. Then there was my travel partners for that trip. A friend of mine and her Mom. I was their chauffeur on the trip. We rented a nice cadi for the trip to Laughlin for the convention.
I really wanted to get my team leaders that were coming to Vegas ahead of time together. If you know me at all I love the social eating scene and this was no different. Now I believe it was impossible to get three groups of people together that were more opposite.
Chris and CeCe arrived and went down to the “Wine Cellar” to get a glass of wine ahead of dinner. The weight loss leaders were very punctual and wanted to save us a table. So they got their early and reserved a table by the fire in the non smoking section. Finally my friend and her Mom arrive at the restaurant. They get a table in the smoking section (since her mom is a smoker).
Willy is fat, dumb and happy and heads off for the wine cellar to meet Chris and CeCe for the first time. I get down to the wine cellar and meet them. We are catching up and very excited about the weekend ahead. They are telling me about getting pulled over by the NHP on the way down that day. We arrive at the entrance to the restaurant and I suddenly see a problem arising. The weight loss leaders are by the fire in the NON smoking section and my friend and her Mom are sitting in the smoking section both have tables reserved for 7. Quite funny actually!
So I come in and begin to work my magic (Ha!) and everyone goes to sit in the smoking section. Now keep in mind that 3 out of the 7 were allergic to cigarette smoke.
So here we are sitting there all getting know each other and the interesting dynamic of the group. One of the things that CeCe had been promising all along was that she would have me take a shot that night at dinner. I thought she was crazy!
Ever seen the movie “You can’t take it with you” complete chaos was the theme of the night. I am the driver for my friend and her mom (the cadi remember), the weight loss leaders not drink or smoke, and then there is Chris and CeCe who are there to have a good time!
We had a very eventful dinner and it was a lot of fun for all! I felt pulled in three different directions that night and realized that I am who I am! These three groups had places in my heart. It was fun! My big lesson at this dinner was that sometimes you cannot make everyone happy, simply roll with the punch and have a good time!
I did take the shot that CeCe had promised I would. My friend and her Mom was ready for a fun filled weekend in Laughlin. The weight loss leaders were there checking it all out! It was the best convention in my opinion of that company!
